Bill
Ford, founder and writer of
HomeMadeEnergy states that his package is "the easiest, cheapest
way to generate renewable Energy". It was my intention when writing this HomeMadeEnergy review to see whether or
not this claim was true.
To be honest, I'm really worried about the future of our planet. I've
got the attitude that anything that may provide relief to this environmental mess we've got ourselves into is
worthy of trying out. Also, having a couple of kids myself and only a very modest income means that, by
necessity, I'm pretty budget conscious. Like most other people I'm always open to new money saving
ideas. Just some of the reasons why I was so keen in writing this HomeMadeEnergy
review.
HomeMadeEnergy advertises to
give you guidance on generating electrical power through home built solar
and wind power systems. It's objectives are to save you money and to help the environment, ultimately
making the world a much happier place for everyone.
When designing and testing Earth4Energy Bill certainly seems
to know his stuff. His view is that the performance of a solar or wind power
system can vary a lot according to the season and amount of sunlight you're getting, the size of
your house, your energy requirements and your geographic location. So his
product
takes into account these factors and concentrates on helping you select the right project
to suit your
lifestyle.
Plans
are included for a solar power project which can be built economically for less then
$100,
depending on your budget and your requirements. The product also provides step by step diagrams to build a
wind turbine also for around the $100
mark.
Including plans for both wind and
solar power is pretty much standard amongst the various home energy products nowadays and this product is no
different to others in that regard. As you'd expect it's the quality of information and the ways it's laid out
that makes all the
difference.
While doing practical testing as part of this HomemadeEnergy review I found the included plans to be quite
flexible. They allowed me to build a solar power project as a portable solar unit if I wanted to. I note that I
didn't choose this option - but I can quite easily see how the plans can be adjusted to suit. This portability
aspect was really appealing and I could see it being very handy as our family likes to spend a lot of time
outdoors. And I really get sick of buying batteries.
To some people the manual may seem a
little thin at around 43 pages but it does explain everything it needs to in terms of relaying the ideas of
the author. Plus, you can always contact support if you have any problems or need to have anything
clarified. And to be fair, the price really does compensate for this; it's a couple of dollars cheaper than
it's nearest competitor. As Bill says in his product overview, it's written in "plain english". This makes
it great for someone who doesn't want to spent a lot of money but who still wants to enjoy all the
benefits of learning to make their own working solar and wind power
projects.
In closing I must say that I found HomeMadeEnergy to be a nice product. I think it's
worth considering if you're a beginner and want some good, basic learning material and associated guidance. The
asking price was reasonable for me too; I don't think it was a lot of money to spend for the
value of the content. I found the manner in which the book is written is good enough so
that when working together as a team my family and I could finish some of the
projects within the space of a few weeks - working casually as a family should. Be nice to each other and I
hope my HomeMadeEnergy review has been helpful.
